Product Designer

At Podego, we’re a startup innovating how people experience audio news. We make staying informed effortless with personalized, daily podcasts from trusted sources. Powered by AI, our short podcasts deliver the day’s top headlines, tailored to each user's interests.

We are looking for a passionate Product Designer to build the foundation of our product. As part of our founding team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to bring an innovative product to life from scratch, together with our CTO and Product Manager. If you are customer-focused, detail-oriented, and excited by new challenges, we want you on board!

Responsibilities:

• Shape the design strategy Podego, exploring fresh concepts and ideas while understanding users’ need
• Create user experience deliverables including wireframes, sitemaps, user flows, and clickable prototypes
• Take ownership of the entire visual design process- from concept to final handoff to our development team
• Collaborate with a development team to make sure your designs are translated into features & functional specs throughout the product development process
• Collaborate strategically with product and engineering teams to define the future of our product

Requirement:

• At least 2 years of experience creating responsive designs for mobile and websites, all platform standard displays
• At least 2 years of UX/UI design experience in mobile apps (portfolio required)
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch & English
• Preferably based in Utrecht
• Experience with user research methods and turning insights into design improvements
• Expertise in Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other prototyping tools
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, independent, cross-functional team with a proactive, positive, and open communication approach
• Detail-oriented
• Excited about working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
• Willingness to work from Utrecht once a week, with the flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time
• Open to last year or Master’s students with a relevant background in UI/UX or any related field

Hours, Salary & Benefit

• Flexible part-time job, plan your working hours
• 8-16 hours per week, with the possibility of full-time after 7 months
• €16-22/hour, depending on your experience

This position is based in Utrecht/Eindhoven with hybrid remote possibilities. You'll join us in the office one day a week.
