About the position:

We are seeking a web developer with experience in front-end development, with sound knowledge of design principles and a keen design eye. You will be pivotal in creating digital experiences across multiple internal and external projects. The individual would work closely with the development team, our clients, creative director, and project coordinators to develop user experiences that meet the business requirements and lead to customer success and engagement.

To be a successful candidate, we require:

• 4+ years of experience with PHP, ReactJS, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and other relevant web technologies
• 4+ years of experience building custom themes in WordPress
• Experience consuming GraphQL & REST API into a frontend framework
• Possesses skills across Figma & Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Demonstrate expertise in advanced development, testing, debugging, and documentation techniques
• Expertise in walkthroughs with various stakeholders, communicating design rationale concisely and effectively
• Solid understanding of the technical requirements within the digital media space, including responsive web and native mobile
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must like food and animals
• Possess a keen sense of humour
• Desire to constantly innovate and develop core skills
• Good knowledge of Git for project version control
• Experience in Agile development processes, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred but not essential:

• Experience working in a digital agency environment
• Experience in UI/UX design
• Tertiary education in IT, Interactive Design, or other related fields
• Bonus points for experience in liaising with clients directly
• Extra bonus points for experience in graphic design related tasks using Adobe CC
