What Will Be Your Challenge?

With a passion for cybersecurity, you will serve as a key advisor on IT security issues for clients across diverse industries. As a security business consultant within the company, you’ll play an essential role in supporting our portfolio, including our managed detection and response (MDR) services. Your expertise and advisory skills enable us to be a trusted cybersecurity partner for our clients.

You’ll offer strategic and tactical guidance on designing IT security frameworks within client organizations, identifying risks in business processes, and recommending timely measures. You are skilled at developing security strategies with a comprehensive approach across technology, people, and processes.

Beyond your advisory role, you will actively engage with stakeholders within client organizations and build your network. You’ll identify market opportunities and assist in developing business cases or advising on commercial strategies. With your deep knowledge of both cybersecurity and the market, you’ll also contribute to refining our services and offerings.

Depending on your experience, your projects may include:

• Conducting security risk assessments
• Developing cybersecurity policies and guidelines
• Leading security awareness programs
• Overseeing IT security roadmap processes
• Streamlining security (management) processes
• Advising on security guidelines, privacy laws, and NIS2 requirements
• Temporarily acting as CISO for clients one or more days per week
• Supporting ISO27001certification processes
• Managing technical security solution implementations from a program perspective

As a Security Business Consultant within the company, you have strong advisory skills and an empathetic approach. You demonstrate excellent cybersecurity awareness and can quickly identify risks. Though you excel in vision development and conceptual thinking, you’re pragmatic and proactive in your approach to work and client advice. You stay updated on industry trends, build your professional network, and attend seminars or training to enhance your expertise.

Ideal Qualifications

• A technical or business administration degree at the HBO or WO level, with relevant experience in information security within similar or consulting organizations
• Foundational knowledge of managed detection & response solutions
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO27001, NEN7510, and NIS2
• One or more security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or CCSP)
• Strong skills in assessing security risks and crafting security strategies
• Proficiency in both Dutch and English, spoken and written
