General Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), a similar technical field of study,
• 3+ years of experience in Network, Cyber Security and related technologies,
• Knowledge and experience in network and security architectures, information security frameworks and standards like ISO/IEC 27001, PCI-DSS, ITIL,
• Have system management (Firewall, IPS, VPN, etc.) experience in at least one of Checkpoint, Fortigate, Palo Alto or Juniper security products,
• Palo Alto FW and Panorama experience is a plus,
• Strong experience managing and troubleshooting complex networks, firewall and security products,
• Knowledge in the installation, configuration, management, and continuity of Firewall systems,
• Knowledge and experience about SLA,
• Able to work with self-discipline and high confidentiality,
• Fluency in written and spoken English to be able to follow literature and technical documents and communicate,
• Strong communication skills, problem solving and troubleshooting skills,
• CCNA, CCNP and related certificates are a big plus,
• Expert troubleshooting capabilities and solid problem-solving skills with a proactive approach,
• Be able to work effectively with a wide range of teams,
• The ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a systematic and logical manner and maintain good communications with all relevant parties,
• Strong communication, documentation, presentation and writing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Installation, configuration, upgrade and maintenance of firewalls, monitoring their licenses,
• Analyze, create, install, update firewall policies and configurations,
• Working to achieve the targets given to him/her within the scope of the performance criteria determined by the company and supporting his/her teammates,
• Creating and reporting efficient and effective daily/weekly work schedules,
• Providing 24/7 support to the systems for which he/she is responsible when there is an emergency,
• Being able to document system-related issues or actions,
• To be able to apply new technologies to the system and track them,
• Participating in technical solution studies, carrying out analysis / design studies and producing reports,
• Monitoring the performance of responsible systems, detecting possible bottlenecks before they become a problem, and producing solutions together with other relevant teams,
• Coordinate demands, priorities and needs across different stakeholders by creating a common vision and gaining support,
• Monitor technologies in accordance with the defined policies, standards, and procedures of the organization, as well as with industry best practices and vendor guidelines.
