Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Development to lead technology-driven product development, with a strong focus on Agile methodologies, app creation, and managing diverse internal and external development teams.

This role is pivotal in developing and launching multiple digital products, overseeing the full lifecycle from concept to deployment, and ensuring seamless collaboration across cross-functional teams. The Director of Development will play a critical role in driving innovation, maintaining high development standards, and optimizing the scalability and performance of our products.

Key Responsibilities

Technology & Product Development:

• Drive end-to-end development of multiple financial products, ensuring seamless integration with MultiBank Group’s trading ecosystem.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of trading platforms, mobile apps, and digital financial tools.
• Lead Agile transformation, ensuring development teams follow best practices in Scrum, Kanban, and CI/CD.
• Ensure all products adhere to regulatory compliance, security standards, and scalability requirements.

Agile Project Management:

• Define and implement Agile processes to streamline software development and improve delivery timelines.
• Manage sprint cycles, product backlogs, and roadmaps in collaboration with product managers and development teams.
• Foster an iterative approach to development, enabling continuous improvement and rapid adaptation to market needs.

Cross-functional Team Leadership:

• Lead and coordinate multiple development teams, including internal engineers, UX/UI designers, and external technology vendors.
• Establish clear technical guidelines, ensuring alignment across teams working on different products.
• Oversee development teams’ workflows to maximize efficiency, code quality, and adherence to best practices.
• Evaluate, onboard, and manage third-party development firms when needed for outsourcing or collaborative projects.

Innovation & Scalability:

• Drive technology adoption, ensuring the use of modern frameworks, cloud computing, and scalable architectures.
• Spearhead the development of APIs, microservices, and cloud-based infrastructures for improved system performance.
• Implement data-driven decision-making to enhance app performance, user experience, and market fit.
• Identify opportunities for automation, AI integration, and emerging technologies to optimize product offerings.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in technology leadership, software development, or fintech product development.
• Proven expertise in leading Agile development teams across multiple digital products.
• Strong technical background with knowledge of software architecture, cloud solutions, and DevOps practices.
• Experience in app development, web platforms, and financial technology products.
• Proficiency in API development, microservices, and full-stack development environments.
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and external development partners.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, compliance, and regulatory requirements in fintech.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
