Project Manager - EPC / Refinery

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee the expansion of our refinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.

• Budget Management: Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effective solutions.

• Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a diverse team of engineers, analysts, and other professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects are delivered with the highest quality standards, meeting both company and regulatory requirements.

• Safety Compliance: Implement and monitor safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all project personnel.

• Schedule Management: Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables.

• Contract Management: Oversee contract negotiations and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.

• Change Management: Implement change management processes to handle project scope changes and ensure alignment with project objectives.

• Performance Monitoring: Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, and report on progress to senior management.

• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and records.

• Environmental Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with environmental regulations and standards

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree from a recognized university in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
• 20+ years of Project experience in refinery or oil and gas
• Expertise in refinery or oil & gas projects
• Experience handling Feed/Engineering Procurement Contracts (EPC)
• Selection and Management of process licensers
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• In-depth understanding of refinery operations, engineering principles, and regulatory requirements.
