Expert / Velocloud SDWAN - Level 2

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Velocloud SDWAN expert to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical role in the successful deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of our SDWAN infrastructure. You will possess a deep understanding of Velocloud SDWAN technology and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Deployment & Configuration:

• Configure, and maintain Velocloud SDWAN Solutions
• configure SDWAN routers and manage network segmentation.
• Implement and configure SDWAN services like application steering, QoS, VPN, Security Policies, Firewall Policies
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of SDWAN deployments.

Troubleshooting & Support:

• Provide Level 2+ technical support, resolving escalated issues from initial point of contact and managing incident resolution or escalation. Analyse and resolve complex network issues related to Velocloud SDWAN infrastructure.
• Identify and diagnose performance bottlenecks and optimize SDWAN network performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve escalated issues.
• Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for knowledge sharing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex SDWAN setups

Documentation & Reporting:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SDWAN configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Prepare reports on network performance, utilization, and security metrics.
• Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for SDWAN management.

Proactive Monitoring & Optimization:

• Monitor the health and performance of the SDWAN infrastructure using orchestrator and other monitoring tools.
• Identify opportunities for optimization and proactively implement improvements to enhance network efficiency.
• Implement best practices for SDWAN security and compliance.

Qualification & Experience:

Required:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with Velocloud SDWAN solutions.
• Strong understanding of SDWAN concepts, including overlay networking, network segmentation, and application routing.
• Experience with Multi-Cloud, Cloud On Ramp and SASE solutions.
• Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN, etc.) and network security practices.

Preferred:

• Velocloud SDWAN certifications.
• Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
• Understanding of cloud networking and SD-WAN integration with cloud platforms.
• Experience with ITIL frameworks and change management processes.
• Experience with Multi-tenant SDWAN Platform.
• Experience with Other SDWAN (Cisco, Versa, Silverpeak) technologies is a plus.
• Certifications like CCIE, CCNP is an added advantage.
