We are looking for a talented individual to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our web applications that are critical to the operation and success of our business. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in PHP programming and a passion for creating seamless digital experiences.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Collaborate with the development team to design and develop efficient, scalable solutions using PHP.
• Maintain and enhance the website framework, primarily focusing on WordPress.
• Write clean, well-structured, and well-documented code to ensure maintainability and readability.
• Conduct thorough testing of code to be implemented, ensuring key functions such as sales, renewals, and MTAs are maintained.
• Troubleshoot and debug existing applications to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Implement new features and functionality based on project specifications and user requirements.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Monitor current website performance and troubleshoot/debug where required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial experience working with PHP.
• Excellent knowledge of HTML5 and CSS.
• Strong experience with WordPress, including monitoring and maintenance of sites.
• Proficiency in MySQL relational databases.
• Experience consuming web services via RESTful APIs.
• Basic server administration skills (Linux) are an advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Project Managers and key stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within scope.
• Good communication skills, capable of helping non-technical professionals understand requirements, issues, and ideas.
