Senior Tech Lead

About us:

We are a dedicated team within the Singapore government, focused on streamlining and digitalising essential services for employers and employment agencies. Our primary mission is to simplify and enhance the Work Permit transaction process for foreign domestic workers (FDWs), including helpers and confinement nannies.

Key Responsibilities:

-       Lead the design and development of backend systems and solutions using modern frontend and backend technologies

-       Architect scalable, high-performance, and secure system solutions.

-       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and project goals.

-       Mentor and guide development teams, ensuring code quality and best practices.

-       Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

-       Manage and align stakeholder expectations, providing regular updates on project status.

-       Troubleshoot complex system issues and propose innovative solutions

Experience and skills needed

-        Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Solution Architect in software development.

-       Proficiency in back-end technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, or similar.

-       Expertise in front-end technologies like React, Angular, Vue.js, or similar frameworks.

-       Strong understanding of database design and management (SQL and NoSQL).

-       Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.

-       Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

-       Strong expertise in system design and scalable architectures.

-       Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

-       Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.

-       Contributions to open-source projects.

-       Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

-       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
