We are working with an innovative software company, specialising in digital identity verification solutions. Based in the Perth CBD, our client has a flat-structured team composed of machine learning engineers, software developers and customer service professionals, all working collaboratively to drive innovation. We are on the hunt for a machine learning lead on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, deployment, and optimization of machine learning models for digital identity verification.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers and other engineers to integrate machine learning solutions into our product offerings.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends and research to ensure our technology remains cutting-edge.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to the machine learning team, while contributing to hands-on coding and model development.
  • Act as the key interface between the machine learning team and the CEO, offering insights on project progress and innovation strategies.

About you

  • Strong experience in developing, training, and deploying machine learning models, (experience in identity verification or similar applications is highly desirable).
  • Deep understanding of data science, machine learning frameworks, and cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with relevant machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally, and a passion for mentoring and guiding others.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years industry experience
  • Experience working in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, Oracle etc.)
