Senior Java Developer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Salt Lake City, UT that is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team and lead our development efforts. Responsibilities:

• Senior Java Developer will lead and mentor a team of developers in designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications
• Utilize your expertise in Java 1.7/1.8 or higher to develop high-quality, scalable, and efficient code
• Implement and advocate for Agile software development principles within the team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• As a Senior Java Developer, you will ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
  
  

Requirements

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification (e.g., SAFe, PSM)
• 5+ years of experience in Java development (Java 1.7/1.8 or higher)
• 5+ years of experience leading a development team with a strong emphasis on Agile methodologies
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Experience with RESTful APIs and web services
• Proficient in version control systems such as Git
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and leadership skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Knowledge of database systems like SQL and NoSQL
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
