Job Title : Senior Java Developer

Location : DOHA QATAR ( Onsite )

Duration : Full Time Role / Permanent Hiring

Job Description:

Minimum 6 years of experience the Senior Java Developer will design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance applications using Java technologies. The role emphasizes expertise in microservices architecture, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and containerization technologies like Docker, along with hands-on experience in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). Experience in telecommunications will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Software Development:

• Design, develop, and deploy Java-based applications following industry best practices.
• Develop microservices using Spring Boot and ensure their integration within the system architecture.
• Write efficient, maintainable, and testable code adhering to project requirements.

1. Application Architecture:

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable microservices architecture.
• Utilize Hibernate for ORM and database management, optimizing data flow and performance.

1. Containerization & Cloud-Native Development:

• Build, deploy, and manage applications using Docker and Red Hat OCP.
• Ensure cloud-native compatibility and scalability in application design.

1. Performance Optimization:

• Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks in large-scale applications.
• Optimize application deployment and runtime environments.

1. Collaboration & Leadership:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze system requirements.
• Mentor junior developers and guide them in modern development practices.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback.

1. Telco-Specific Knowledge (Preferred):

• Leverage telecommunications domain expertise to design systems aligned with telco requirements, such as high availability, low latency, and distributed architectures.

Qualification:

• Programming Languages: Expert in Java (Java 11 or later preferred).
• Frameworks: Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate.
• Microservices: Expertise in designing, developing, and deploying microservices.
• Containerization & Orchestration:
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Red Hat OpenShift (OCP).
• Knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Databases:
• Proficient in relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Strong knowledge of database optimization and ORM best practices.
• CI/CD: Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent tools for continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Telecommunications Knowledge: Familiarity with BSS/OSS systems, signaling protocols, and telco-specific use cases.
• Development Practices:
• Strong understanding of TDD/BDD and unit testing frameworks like JUnit or TestNG.
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs and gRPC for inter-service communication.

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Certifications:
• Red Hat Certified Specialist (Containers/DevOps).
• Oracle Certified Java Programmer (OCJP).
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proactive approach to learning and adopting new technologies.
• Ability to work in an agile development environment.
