Summary/Mission

We seek a highly motivated team player with extensive cloud solutions experience to join our multi-cultural and cross-functional teams. You'll perform tasks across all development phases with minimal supervision. In this role, you'll collaborate with Making Sense engineers and product teams, manage multiple projects, assess problems, and ensure timely, in-scope delivery of complex tasks within the project plan.

Responsibilities

Develop plans to adopt cloud best practices and standards.
Experience with container orchestration technologies.
Build and manage automated pipelines.
Build standardized, clean and maintainable IaC.
Optimize cloud costs by monitoring usage, right-sizing resources and eliminating waste.
Create infrastructure diagrams and maintain documentation to communicate cloud architecture and system components clearly.
Ensure cloud security using appropriate tools.
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
Implement and manage disaster recovery strategies and ensure business continuity across cloud infrastructure.
Write high quality code to deliver automated solutions across the entire stack.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable microservices architectures and ensure smooth integration with infrastructure.
Learn new systems & manage additional technical resources to meet the project requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the entire stack (software, database, infrastructure).
Creative when solving problems and continuously seeking improvements for processes and solutions

Requisitos

Requirements / Experience

Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work autonomously.
Use Agile methodologies to accomplish tasks.
Proficiency in Terraform, AWS (EKS, ECS), Docker, Kubernetes.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and ArgoCD.
Strong knowledge of cloud security and governance tools to enforce security and compliance across the infrastructure. (WAF, Identity Center, SGs, Security Hub, etc.)
Networking comprehension and implementation in the cloud. (VPC, Subnet, RTs, TG, VPN)
Deep understanding of monitoring technologies and capabilities with tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Cloudwatch.
Experience setting up relational and no-relational databases. (RDS, Postgresql, DynamoDB)
Experience with automation scripting in Golang, Python, or Bash.
Comfortable with Linux-based systems configurations, troubleshooting and management.
Assist in ensuring scalability, performance, security, capacity and high availability of infrastructure and services.
Experience with performance tuning and resolving scaling and performance issues in microservices.
Drive efficiencies in capacity planning, configuration management and root cause analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud certification (AWS, GCP, Azure) or relevant industry certifications.
Experience with traditional enterprise data-center technologies, including compute, storage appliances, virtual machines, and networking.
Leadership experience in a DevOps team, helping guide strategic initiatives and technology decisions.
Involvement in the open-source community or contributions to DevOps-related projects.
Familiarity with distributed systems and data streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
Play a part in incident management and emergency response
Experience with performance benchmarking, load testing, and capacity planning for large-scale systems.
Knowledge of Linux-based automation tools such as; Puppet, Chef or Ansible.
