System Administrator / DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Security Focus

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid)

The Opportunity

Are you a System Administrator / DevOps Engineer looking for a high-impact role where you can take full ownership of cloud infrastructure, security, and automation? This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to build and optimize IT environments while reducing reliance on external partners.

Reporting to the Head of IT, you’ll be responsible for managing cloud-based systems, security threats, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD pipelines. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy hands-on work with cutting-edge cloud technologies, this role is for you!

What You’ll Do

• Manage and maintain cloud-based IT systems to ensure high availability and performance.
• Implement and enforce system standards, security policies, and best practices.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure, ensuring system integrity and uptime.
• Oversee firewall and switch management, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
• Develop and deploy scalable cloud infrastructure using Azure DevOps, ARM, and Azure CLI.
• Build CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Azure Functions.
• Enhance cloud security and compliance using Intune, Azure Security Centre, Defender for Cloud, and Key Vault.
• Collaborate with developers and end-users to optimize system performance and automation.
• Assist in incident response, security audits, and compliance assessments.
• Work with third-party support and service providers when required.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in Systems Administration, DevOps, Cloud Computing, or Software Development.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including services like Azure App Service, Storage, SQL Database, Kubernetes Service (AKS), Service Bus, and Event Grid.
• Experience with Snowflake is a plus.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps, GitHub, PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices (encryption, authentication, authorization, auditing).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
