Our client is one of Europe’s best well-regarded investment management houses. Due to continued company growth and success, they are now seeking a System and Network Engineer to join their high-performing team in Luxembourg on a permanent basis.
Working as part of an innovative Technology team, the System and Network Engineer will play a key role in delivering sustainable, reliable, and efficient technology solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a regulated financial setting.
Key Responsibilities of the System and Network Engineer:
- Lead and contribute to strategic technical projects across workplace and infrastructure domains.
- Engineer and maintain systems, networks, and applications.
- Act as the Cloud Officer for Luxembourg operations.
- Provide support on infrastructure and workplace services, including incident resolution and system improvements.
- Participate in scheduled maintenance interventions (no on-call duty).
- Work with a broad range of modern technologies including:
>Cloud: Microsoft Azure (IaaS/PaaS)
>Systems: Windows Server, Active Directory, NTFS
>Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, BI Suite (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS)
>Networking & Security: Cisco (switches, routers, WiFi), Checkpoint, Palo Alto
>Collaboration & Monitoring: Exchange Online, Proofpoint, Intune, Centreon, Teams
The System and Network Engineer will meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within an international, regulated environment.
- Strong technical project management skills.
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure Cloud and O365 (IaaS/PaaS).
- In-depth knowledge of Windows environments, Active Directory, and disaster recovery protocols.
- Understanding of IT regulatory requirements in financial services.
- Fluent in both French and English.
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
