Job Summary:

A leading company in the retail industry is looking for an HR Business Partner to drive HR strategies, support employee engagement, and ensure smooth HR operations.

The HR Business Parnter will be responsible for managing the Human Resource function and the implementation of HR programs at the assigned location. Responsibilities include but are not limited to recruitment and onboarding, compensation planning, performance management, internal communication, training, administrative tasks, workforce planning, and employee relations. This position will act as a Business Partner to senior leadership and the local management team.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Results Area:

  • Acts as a change agent within the organization.
  • Conducts recruitment activities, including sourcing, costing, and onboarding.
  • Performs workforce & organizational planning, succession planning, and talent assessments.
  • Administers the company's talent management activities, including the annual performance management cycle.
  • Supports employee surveys, including results debriefing and action planning.
  • Where applicable, interprets, administers, and negotiates any collective bargaining agreements and handles all grievances.
  • Maintains positive employee relations; promptly investigates complaints/issues and makes recommendations to the Managing Director to resolve them.
  • Keeps abreast of all local laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Ensures the accuracy and confidentiality of all personnel records.
  • Implements and maintains defined HR metrics.
  • Provides expertise and administrative support in all areas of local compensation and benefits and assists employees with questions and concerns.
  • Analyzes, defines, and leads training requirements, including mandatory and corporate training programs.
  • Leads employee engagement and wellness activities.
  • Leads process improvement projects within HR.
  • Supports international HR projects as required, such as HRIS implementation, HR audits, and compliance projects.

Technical Skills and Experience:

  • HR experience gained within a retail organization is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience with HRIS implementation (Workday preferred).
  • Experience working in a global organization is an advantage.
  • Experience in both direct and matrix organizational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior HR Advisor / Business Partner experience.
  • Experience in employee relations and working with sales teams is essential.
  • Bilingual abilities required – fluency in written and spoken English.


Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

  • Based in Vinkeveen, Utrecht.
  • Limited travel required – occasional participation in international HR meetings in the US or Europe (once per year) and regional HR meetings within EMEA (once per year).
