Our client, an established provider of end-to-end IT solutions specializing in system integration, infrastructure, and business informatics, is seeking a driven Business Development Engineer. Based in Ljubljana or Maribor, you will serve as the key point of contact for new business development, focusing on acquiring new clients and driving the delivery of high-performance, secure, and scalable IT environments. Your work will encompass both advanced infrastructure solutions—such as servers, data centers, and networking—as well as cutting-edge software offerings, including business applications, cloud services, and cybersecurity.
As a Business Development Engineer, you will become a trusted advisor, bridging the gap between technology and business needs. You will design and deliver customized, impactful IT strategies that integrate best-in-class hardware and software solutions, enabling businesses to optimize performance and drive agility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities in IT infrastructure and software services.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with clients to understand their operational needs and design tailored IT solutions, integrating servers, data centers, cloud platforms, and business applications.
- Client Consulting: Engage with decision-makers to present IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency and digital transformation.
- Project Oversight: Support the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring seamless integration of infrastructure and software solutions.
- Market Insights: Stay ahead of technology trends in networking, data centers, business software, and cloud computing.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in IT solutions sales, covering both infrastructure (servers, networking, data centers) and software solutions (business applications, cloud services, security software).
- Strong consultative selling skills, with a proven ability to align IT solutions with business objectives.
- Proficiency in system integration, including cloud, cybersecurity, and networking solutions.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of German is an advantage.
- A valid Category B driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, results-driven, and self-motivated approach to business development.
