System Verification Engineer Consultant – Embedded & Electronic Systems
About the Position
Akkodis is seeking a System Verification Engineer Consultant to support one of our key clients in Gothenburg. In this role, you will work on identifying, analyzing, and resolving systematic quality issues within electronic control systems, focusing on ECUs, embedded systems, circuit boards, cabling, and communication networks. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, troubleshoot hardware and software malfunctions, and drive continuous improvements in system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead taskforces to diagnose and resolve systematic issues in embedded and electronic systems.
- Develop a deep understanding of the entire system architecture, including ECUs, embedded software, circuit boards, and communication buses (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.).
- Investigate and verify hardware and software performance, ensuring optimal system reliability.
- Troubleshoot faulty components, wiring issues, software errors, and communication failures between system elements.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and develop methods to proactively monitor performance using extracted data.
- Collaborate with teams across hardware design, software development, and system integration to implement robust solutions.
- Support additional team activities related to system verification, validation, and debugging.
Who You Are
You are a problem-solver with a strong technical background in embedded systems and electronic hardware. You excel in fault analysis, troubleshooting, and system verification, with experience in both hardware and software debugging. Your ability to work across different disciplines and communicate effectively makes you an essential part of any technical team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Electronics, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, or similar).
- Proven experience in automotive, industrial, or embedded electronic systems.
- Strong expertise in ECUs, embedded systems, circuit boards, and communication buses (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for both hardware and software issues.
- Experience with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB diagnostics.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
Preferred Skills and Experiences
- Experience working with Volvo Group systems and tools (e.g., Kola, Configurator, SnAC, TGW).
- Hands-on experience with fault tracing, CAN bus diagnostics, and embedded software debugging.
- Background in system verification, validation, or testing for complex electronic systems.
