UI/UX Designer

Sonar
Singapore · Full-time · Mid-Senior

We empower developers and organizations to optimize software development processes, improve code quality, and accelerate time-to-market through advanced AI technologies. To further enhance our product's user experience, we are seeking a creative and skilled UI/UX Designer to join our team.

As a UI/UX Designer you will play a pivotal role in shaping the look and feel of our SaaS platform, making advanced AI tools intuitive and accessible to software developers. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and AI specialists to craft engaging, user-friendly interfaces and workflows that reflect user needs and elevate their experience. The UX craft has been evolving in our company, and there is still much to do. In 2023, UX benchmarked a solid stage 3 of the NNG maturity model at Sonar, with a strong appetite to evolve from there in the next few years. We hold ourselves to high standards, and we are looking for invested, resilient, and humble professionals to join us for the journey ahead

On a daily basis, you will

  • Design and develop intuitive user interfaces and experience flows for our AI4SE platform, ensuring an exceptional user experience
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups that clearly illustrate how applications function and look.
  • Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across all product interfaces.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and technologies to bring fresh ideas to the table.
  • Advocate for the user-centered design process and contribute to fostering a user-focused product culture.
  • Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability tests, to gather insights and inform design decisions.

The Skills You Will Demonstrate

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.
  • Interest in learning new tools, languages, workflows, and philosophies
  • Keen attention to detail, with a strong sense of visual aesthetics.
  • At least one year of experience as a UI/UX Designer, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your design thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Figma for design and prototyping
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and usability heuristics.
  • Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Understanding of software development processes and terminology.

Office location

The role can be based in any of our European offices: Geneva (Switzerland), Annecy (France), and Bochum (Germany).
