The Project Manager Lead is responsible for the overall operation of a project(s)/contract(s) to include the safety and wellbeing of its employees, safeguarding company funds and property, and generally represents the company. Project Managers complete projects to the satisfaction of the client, consistent with first time quality, cost, schedule, and contractual requirements. He or She ensures that established company goals are realized while maintaining client relations that will enhance future business.

The Essentials:

-Review all associated drawings and provide feedback to engineering on constructability.

-Provide engineering with solutions based on field walkdowns when drawing discrepancies are identified and changes are required for implementation.

-Will be the project interface for construction applications between Prairie Island and engineering.

-Will work with planning to ensure constructability has been captured and all work order operations are ready for implementation.

-Will perform all work order reviews to ensure readiness at execution.

-Will oversee the Work Order Reviews to monitor timeliness and aligned with station process.

-Will attend all project meetings

-Will aid in meeting facilitation while working with the Xcel PM alignment of responsibilities.

-Will provide follow up on meeting actions

-Set up and facilitate Schedule meeting from a level 1 to level 3

-Ensure all department input is provided to the scheduler and input into P6

-Will track and monitor schedule during implementation

-Will process QF2001’s when required

-Will review all BOM’s for accuracy and quantity against approved drawings and validate with -Planning that materials have been ordered and align with the schedule requirements of the project.

-Will identify all tooling required to perform work is available, staged and on-site prior to implementation.

-Will identify any contingent items (tooling and equipment) required are identified and available.

-Identify project lay down areas, close to implementation location and obtaining the required permits.

-Identify travel paths are appropriate to project location; this will include work week implementation and possible impacts with protected equipment.

-Identify any support needed to gain access to areas where accurate information is required but not currently accessible.

What it takes:

4 years recent Project Management Experience at a nuclear power plant.

Strong and professional written and verbal communication skills.

Strong computer skills

Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Ability to pass all background and screening requirements including drug and/or alcohol screening.
