Full-Stack Developer (Java)

Description

We currently have a vacancy for a Full Stack Developer (Java) fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site..

Your tasks:

Develop along with the team the desired solution, while being supported in this by the architects;

Responsible for the implementation of User Stories as well as the maintenance and management of the applications;

Ensure that the code is fully covered by unit tests and contribute to the automation of integration tests and E2E tests;

Collaborate with Infrastructure colleagues to install the applications and monitor their operation;

Analyze integrations with other parties and systems;

Able to make proposals for technical improvements and defend them to the team and architects;

Provide training and coaching to fellow developers;

Provide software documentation without getting lost in the details.

Requirements

University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with a minimum 13 years of relevant working experience in IT;

Minimum 8 years of experience as a Java, back-end developer and preferably at least 1 year of experience in front-end of enterprise systems;

Experience with enterprise-standard software development tools and processes (e.g Jira, Maven, Eclipse, SVN, Nexus, Bamboo, Enterprise Architect, design patterns, unit testing, functional testing, integration testing, performance testing and code coverage);

Excellent knowledge of Java EE and SQL;

Good knowledge of JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, ExtJS, Angular.js;

Good knowledge of Spring Framework and aspect oriented programming;

Theoretical knowledge of Cloud concepts such as Microservices, Kubernetes, Docker containers;

Knowledge of Oracle SQL, SOAP, REST, EJB is an asset;

Excellent command of the English language.
