We are looking for a Product Manager to be responsible for Valve positioner products. The position offers an excellent vantage point on Valmet Flow Control business over different industries and is a key role in business growth and development.
Valmet’s Flow Control business line is one of the leading providers of mission-critical flow control solutions and services for process industries. We employ nearly 3000 people in approximately 40 countries. With our global team of experts and innovative solutions, we help our customers to improve their process performance and ensure the safe flow of materials.
In this position you will manage Valve positioner products in the global Product Center organization. You will define product development road maps and priorities for the R&D organization and launch the products to global sales. You will be based in Vantaa but work as a member of global Product Center organization.
Responsibilities
As a Product Manager you will be a key player in determining the product strategy and offering guidelines that best support the growth plans in target areas. You will be responsible for the product portfolio development, and for providing the technical and commercial input to business development plans and risk analyses. You will also be a member of RTD project steering groups and the owner of product modification projects and profitability actions.
You will maintain and develop the product offering and pricing in the sales system, as well as the product marketing documentation. You will also guide sales and quotation organizations in product selection for different applications and give both internal and external product trainings. You will work in close co-operation with Business Line Managers, Global Sales and Project organizations in order to support growth and profitability of Valmet Flow Control’s entire valve business.

To succeed in this role
- We require a M.Sc. or B.Sc in a suitable technical field.
- Experience in product management is highly appreciated, and knowledge of the process industry and valves are considered as an asset.
- You have an agile way of working combined with systematic approach and can handle diversified tasks simultaneously. Y
- ou work independently and you are willing to make decisions.
- You have excellent networking and communication skills and can achieve set targets with respect for deadlines.
- You are comfortable with working in an international, cross-organizational position and willing to travel.
- Fluent English, both spoken and written, is required.
