Software Developer (Python)

Strategic Staffing Solutions International client, a global leader in pre-employment background and drug screening services, is expanding its team in Vilnius, Lithuania. They operate in all 50 states and over 200 countries, providing cutting-edge solutions in compliance, verification, and screening.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer (Python) to help build and enhance customer-facing applications. If you enjoy solving complex problems, working with modern technologies, and making a real impact—this role is for you!

What You’ll Do:

• Improve and expand web-based platform using Python, MySQL, and AWS with microservices and serverless architecture.
• Work on AI-driven solutions using OpenAI (no prior AI experience needed, just a willingness to learn!).
• Develop high-quality, maintainable software with strong security and scalability.
• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure code reliability.
• Collaborate with internal teams, product owners, and experienced developers.
• Stay updated on the latest tech trends and bring new ideas to the table.

What You Need:

• 3-5 years of experience in web application development
• 3+ years of hands-on Python and back-end development experience
• 1+ years of front-end development experience
• Experience with async frameworks like Aiohttp or FastAPI
• Strong backend programming, database programming (MySQL), and REST API development skills
• Familiarity with JavaScript, Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3
• Knowledge of Git-based source control
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AWS and CI/CD tools like Jenkins
• Familiarity with OpenAI, AI/ML libraries, MLflow, or feature stores like Feast

Salary: €4,000 - €5,500 gross per month
