Junior QA (Automation) Engineer

About the Role:

As a Junior QA (Automation) Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software. With a strong focus on test automation, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the overall user experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry best practices.
• Collaborate with teams in Šenčur and the UK and across the organization to support quality assurance efforts.
• Identify and prepare manual test cases with a goal of automating them.
• Execute and analyze automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
• Investigate and resolve issues found in automated testing.
• Provide key quality metrics to support continuous improvement.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and contribute to Agile development processes.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential issues.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Some programming exposure in Java, C#, or similar programming languages, as well as some scripting languages (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python).
• Some familiarity with API test automation.
• Willingness to learn and having appetite for Automation testing.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with databases (SQL Server, Postgres, etc.).
• Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
