DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a team of passionate geeks who joined forces in 2004 in order to provide innovative IT solutions for the telco sector.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install and Configure Linux Systems.
• Ensure continuous 24/7/365 operation through proactive maintenance of Linux and Windows systems.
• Implement and enforce best practices for system and service management across all platforms.
• Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware.
• Design and develop infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools.
• Develop and maintain configuration management solutions.
• Setup/maintain the CI/CD infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain the backup, replication, clustering and fail over strategies.
• Manage Kubernetes and container (e.g. Docker) environments.
• Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment.
• Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
• Participate in On Call meetings.
• Supervise the Live products, troubleshoot, answer to customer tickets.
• Provide Internal and External Technical Support and Guidance.
• Contribute to the improvements of the support activities.
• Gain knowledge about the products and technologies used, understand the business logic implemented by the products, understand the technical details of the products.
  
  

Job Requirements

Expertise required:

• Knowledge of Linux: RedHat, Ubuntu, Debian, etc.
• Ability to build and monitor services on production servers.
• Experience with MySQL and/or MariaDB.
• Familiarity with Proxmox Virtual Environment management and concepts.
• Knowledge in Shell and Python scripting.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Adaptability, Organization, Communication with less technical colleagues skills.
• Advanced knowledge in CI/CD pipelines implementations.
• Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker deployments and their IP networking.
  
  

Nice to have expertise:

• Knowledge in Grafana, Zabbix, and CheckMK for monitoring and supervision;
• Experience in configuring and using MySQL/MariaDB in cluster mode (Galera Cluster).
