Vice President/Digital & Innovation

Brief Description:

• Define the vision and roadmap of digital services & platforms from technology perspective in alignment with Etisalat strategic direction to lead the Digital domain and provide superior customer experience
• Ensure the Digital leadership of Etisalat within the Telecom & OTT market through managing and leading the development and operations of Etisalat Digital platforms
• Define and steer the implementation of the Mobile applications & platforms including and not limited to MyEtisalat, Smiles, GoChat, Swyl, five, SMB app….
• Define and steer the implementation of the Web technologies & platforms including and not limited to Etisalat portal, SMB & enterprise portals, SAS, SSK…
• Define and steer the digital e-commerce technology roadmap for web and mobile development
• Evolve and scale up the Digital platforms infrastructure within Etisalat to stand to act as a source of new revenue stream.
• Establish and lead the Agile delivery of the Digital platforms as well as co-owning the design studios to ensure fulfilling the business requirements
• Ensure exceeding the Digital KPIs to maintain Etisalat leadership in the market
• Develop advanced Digital Analytics through digital analytics platforms for digital insights and to support real-time personalization
• Steer the digitization focus within Etisalat and help the business to realize the benefits of all the technological evolutions to resolve real business problems and capture great opportunities, through establishing a full platform of Digital Products & Center of Excellence.
• Support the organization to use the technology to resolve real business problems or capture opportunities.
• Initiate and support innovative ideas and track including and not limited to new digital trends, Blockchain, Metaverse…
• Lead the operations and support of mission critical and innovative Digital platforms including and not limited to MyEtisalat mobile App, Swyl, Smiles, GoChat, e&Money App, SAS, SSK, online portals..
• Provide a cost effective operations management and support for the Digital services ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and established standards
• Ensure Business continuity and availability for Digital Platforms & Services
• Define and govern production KPIs to ensure performance and availability of Digital systems
• Ensure establishing proactive alarming model to resolve production issues
• Plan & manage the execution for the needed expansions and new systems to serve Etisalat business requirements.
• Promote various new Digital technologies are driving changes in the organization, including and not limited to cloud adoption, DevOps, Mobile App & Web development….
• Monitor and advise trends and innovations in telecom industry to meet Etisalat IT needs; developing and implementing strategic long and short-term technology plans; and provide actionable recommendations to Etisalat executive team
• Evaluate and properly utilize assign budget allocated to the Digital & Innovation domain.
• Develop and organize technology talent that is structured to efficiently deliver digital services
• Develop & motivate a team of more than 100 members to ensure highly performing team and maintain the healthy working environment between the different teams
• Select, communicate and negotiate effectively with the vendors to ensure a win-win situation and successful accomplishments of tasks considering cost optimization without impacting the quality of the vendors’ deliverables.
• Properly plan and manage the areas’ budget (CapEx & OpEx) and ensure the alignment with Etisalat plans.
• Ensure operational efficiency and Opex reduction on yearly basis
