Role Overview

We are seeking a talented Front End / Full Stack Developer with 3-4 years of commercial experience to join our development team in Newcastle upon Tyne. The candidate will have a strong background in front-end development and possess design skills that enable them to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.

Preferably, they will also have server side development experience, which allows them to become more integrated with our application developers. You will collaborate closely with our teams across the business to deliver exceptional user experiences for our clients in the education sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain our web applications using modern front-end technologies.
• Collaborate with leadership and understand the development requirements, to deliver interactive and visually appealing interfaces.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement best practices in web development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development and design.
• Help us build something very cool.
  
  

What you will bring:

• 3-4 years of commercial experience in front-end development.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  
  

Desirable Skills

• Experience working with Microsoft server side technologies
• Experience working in the education sector or with financial technology solutions.
• Familiarity with back-end development and RESTful APIs.
