Senior Network Engineer

I hope this post finds you well. I am excited to share an amazing opportunity at Tech Mahindra Singapore for the position of Senior Network Engineer. We are on the lookout for suitable candidates with hands-on experience Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructures.

To give you an idea of what we are looking for, here are the key requirements for the role:

Preferred Experience- 5+ Yrs

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructures, including:
• Routing and switching (e.g., BGP, ISIS, OSPF)
• Data center fabrics (e.g., Cisco ACI, Arista EOS)
• Load balancing (e.g., F5, Fortinet, Cisco ACE)
• Firewalling (e.g., Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto Networks)
• WAN optimization
• Network security (e.g., intrusion detection/prevention systems, DDoS mitigation)
• Virtualization technologies (e.g., Openstack,VMware NSX, AWS VPC)
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify and address potential problems.
• Participate in capacity planning and network upgrades.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams.
• Stay current with the latest networking technologies and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with other IT teams (e.g., Systems, Security, DevOps) to ensure seamless integration of network services.
• Participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 network support.
• Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance.

Qualifications:

• Expert-level knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS, EIGRP).
• Strong experience with data center fabrics (e.g., Cisco ACI, Arista EOS).
• Experience with load balancing technologies (e.g., F5, Cisco ACE).
• Experience with firewalling technologies (e.g., Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto Networks).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware NSX, Openstack, AWS VPC) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of network security best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) is a plus.
• Industry certifications (e.g., CCIE, JNCIE) are highly valued.
