What will be your challenge in the role:

As our IT Security Engineer, you'll embark on a journey filled with tasks such as:

  • Safeguard our internet-facing assets by performing periodic security checks.
  • Continuously review findings, create detailed reports, and ensure domain security configuration settings are up to date.
  • Keep an eye on our company's public footprint and security scoring on the internet.
  • Engage in creative hacker simulation activities from the internet and within our corporate network, with a strong focus on API security.
  • Coordinate and participate in pentesting activities to identify and fix vulnerabilities.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • A relevant university degree or an equally compelling reason for not having one.
  • At least 2 years of experience in red team testing, with hands-on expertise in cybersecurity management and operations tools, reconnaissance, threat intelligence, risk management, exploit development, physical penetration, social engineering, and vulnerability analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networks, and cloud services.
  • Familiarity with incident response and handling methodologies, as well as cybersecurity principles.
  • The ability to solve problems quickly while constantly seeking ways to improve systems.

You are a self-starter who can work independently, take responsibility, and excel despite ambiguity or constant changes. Your communication skills are top-notch. You are fluent in English, comfortable interacting with both business and technology teams, and possess excellent analytical skills.

Benefits:

  • At Riverty, you can be who you are. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment and a culture of appreciation, enriched by our employee networks.
  • Prioritize your health with supported sports and leisure activities.
  • Take advantage of our numerous training and development opportunities! Enhance your skills with training offered by the Bertelsmann University, language courses, or leadership training.
  • Benefit from our discounts on Bertelsmann products and financial incentives.
  • With our diverse work models, you can tailor your work to your preferences. Take advantage of mobile office, flexible working hours, and part-time models.
