About the role

In this role, you will be an integral part of the Software Components team which builds reusable software components used by various development teams inside Laerdal. The mission of the Software Components team is to prevent re-engineering, share development effort across teams, ensure quality, security and standardization as well as enable rapid prototyping by providing components as building blocks. You will work with technical experts in a multicultural team and engage with colleagues all over the world to ensure our digital products are scalable and reliable. Using good practices and standards is crucial in this team and being rigorous and precise in your code will help others understand and build upon it.



Some of what you will be doing

  • Develop reusable components and ensure component scalability, reliability, availability, security, and performance.
  • Adopt Laerdal recommended tools and frameworks in addition to industry standards.
  • Identify and fix bugs and suggest improvements as applicable.
  • Write documentation and develop sample code demonstrating component’s features.
  • Review code and write tests for your code.
  • Package and distribute your code through CI/CD pipelines.
  • Explore and keep up to date with new technologies, such as:

- Bluetooth Low Energy (Basics and Advanced),

- Azure EventHub,

- .NET MAUI (iOS, Android, Windows),

- .NET8+.

We expect that you have:

  • A BSc. or MSc. within a relevant engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of professional experience developing software applications.
  • Advanced knowledge in and experience with object-oriented languages such as C#.
  • Experience with mobile and desktop cross platform technologies such as .NET MAUI.
  • Strong interest in DevOps and experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Nuget.org.
  • Strong interest in IoT.

You will get us extra excited if you have worked with either of the following cross platform technologies: Kotlin, Swift, Flutter or React-Native.

Where you will be

You will be based in Stavanger, Norway. We work on site with the possibility to occasionally work from home.
