Job Title: Product Manager - Open Banking
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Pay range: C$65 - 80/hr
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Type: Hybrid (2-3 days in office preferred)
About the Role:
- Our client is looking for a Product Manager - Open Banking to drive the strategy and execution of APIs and microservices within the evolving Canadian Open Banking framework.
- Reporting to the Senior Product Manager - Open Banking, you'll work closely with UX, engineering, and key stakeholders to shape and operationalize Open Banking initiatives.
- This is an exciting opportunity to build industry-leading financial interoperability solutions in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead research, discovery, and backlog development for Open Banking capabilities.
- Act as the bridge between internal and external stakeholders to define scope and execution plans.
- Partner with design and engineering teams to deliver incremental product releases aligned with the Open Banking roadmap.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and drive alignment across product teams.
- Track product performance and usage through reports and analytics dashboards.
- Stay ahead of market trends and contribute to long-term Open Banking strategy.
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner, working closely with engineering and design teams.
- Deep understanding of APIs, microservices, and digital financial products.
- Strong experience in Agile environments, with expertise in JIRA and Confluence.
- Proven ability to write user stories and product documentation.
- Experience delivering technology-driven solutions (financial services experience is a plus).
Required Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
- A self-starter who can take ownership without micromanagement.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- A collaborative team player who can also drive independent tasks to completion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's preferred).
- Scrum Product Owner certification is a plus.
