Forbes Bros Ltd. is seeking an experienced, full-time, permanent Onboarding Coordinator to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta in a hybrid remote capacity.

In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering a smooth and engaging onboarding experience for new hires. Working closely with multiple departments, you will oversee documentation, ensure compliance, and provide the support necessary to help new employees integrate successfully into the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFE & never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every day
  • Prepare and distribute onboarding materials and documentation
  • Create appropriate employee records in all systems
  • Liaise with various departments to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of new hires
  • Organize, attend, and participate in stakeholder meetings
  • Ensure that all new hire paperwork for the employee is completed in a timely manner to ensure the payroll and learning management system data is entered and up to date
  • Coordinate and assist employee with licenses renewals, visa application, visa extensions, passport expiration notifications, etc.
  • Identify shortfalls in Project staffing needs for upcoming work schedules and communicate with Talent Acquisition to ensure new talent is added to the workforce.
  • Direct and organize logistics for mobile workforce that may include but not limited to booking travel and accommodations.
  • Consulting on estimates or cost saving initiatives as they relate to mobilization of workforce.
  • Handle any issues or concerns that arise during the onboarding process
  • Other duties as required and assigned.

What We Are Looking For

  • Certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Previous experience in a Human Resources or Onboarding role
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Self-directed, action oriented, forward-thinking and creative individual
  • Strong interpersonal relations skills
  • Demonstrated expertise using influence, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work in a heavily matrixed organization to accomplish tasks and resolve issues
  • Exhibits a strong attention to detail
  • Strong data management skills including data review, cleaning, and preparation of visual output in tabular or graphical format
  • Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance processes is an asset
  • Strong independence of action and ability to proactively take initiative
  • Skilled team player with the ability to work with and support a diverse array of personalities and working styles

Salary: $50000 - $70000 per year
