About the Role:

Entrupy is seeking a remote Lead Engineer, Android to spearhead the development of a greenfield SDK for our core authentication product. This role will collaborate closely with our iOS and backend teams to deliver seamless and robust solutions. As the Lead Engineer, you will oversee and direct the work of two additional Android engineers, who will be hired in Q2. This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of our mobile offerings and drive innovation within a dynamic and passionate team.

Location: Remote - Latin America / Europe

Reports To: VP of Engineering

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain a greenfield SDK for Entrupy's core product using Kotlin.
• Supervise and mentor two additional Android engineers, providing guidance, code reviews, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Propose and implement technical architectures and best practices for mobile platform upgrades and SDK enhancements.
• Collaborate with designers to ensure the SDK provides an intuitive and user-friendly experience.
• Ensure the quality and performance of the SDK through testing, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Coordinate feature development and releases, manage timelines, and communicate progress with stakeholders.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the SDK to facilitate ease of use and integration by other teams
  
  

What you bring:

• At least 7 years of professional software development experience, with a focus on Android.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining production Android applications.
• Demonstrated experience in building SDKs or similar libraries.
• Proficient in Kotlin and Java.
• Strong understanding of Android frameworks and architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, VIPER).
• Experience with multi-threading and asynchronous programming in Android.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Experience with UI/UX design principles or a willingness to propose first-draft solutions.
• Previous experience in a lead engineering role or supervising other developers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work in a fast-paced, distributed environment.
• Familiar with or interested in AI development tools such as Cursor or Gemini
  
  

Good to have:

• Experience with reactive frameworks such as Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and mobile app deployment processes.
• Experience with machine learning integration in mobile applications.
• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Firebase) and backend integration.
• Knowledge of Python and backend development is a plus.
• Knowledge of iOS (Swift, Objective-C) is a plus.
