Cyber Security Analyst

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Cybersecurity Analyst to join our client in the Machinery Manufacturing industry. This role is pivotal in maturing our cybersecurity operations and becoming an expert on our tools. The ideal candidate will focus on monitoring, alerting, and ticket response while gradually embracing initiative and innovation in our cybersecurity practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations vs. Development: Balance operational tasks with the development of cybersecurity programs.

• Monitoring & Alerts: Continuously monitor security systems, respond to alerts, and manage tickets efficiently.

• Email Security: Handle the majority of threats originating from enterprise partners using Proofpoint.

• Endpoint Security: Utilize CrowdStrike for endpoint/identity protection and threat response.

• Technical Explanation: Provide clear and technical explanations of security issues and solutions.

• Cloud Security: Protect our cloud presence, particularly Azure AD, and manage cloud-based identity access.

• Web Application Firewall: Interpret and respond to alerts related to web application firewalls, with a focus on architecture and engineering.

Desired Expertise:

• Email Security: Proficiency with Proofpoint for managing email threats.

• Endpoint Security: Experience with CrowdStrike for endpoint protection.

• Cloud Security: Strong knowledge of Azure AD and cloud-based identity access management.

• Web Application Firewall: Ability to protect websites and interpret alerts, with a preference for candidates who can act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in web application security. Biggest gap in their team.
