Where you'll be working
Your primary location will be at St Leonards (RNS) but will need to be able to travel to all LHD sites if and when required.
What You'll Be Doing
The position of Network Services Specialist exists within the IT Operations (Technical Services) portfolio of the Digital Health Services (DHS) Directorate of the Northern Sydney and Central Coast Local Health Districts (NSLHD and CCLHD). This position will be primarily based at a single site however will require some travel to any sites within NSLHD and/or CCLHD. The primary site for this position will be agreed at the time of appointment and periodically as required with IT Operations Management.
The Network Services Specialist provides technical specialism and expertise and acts as the second point of escalations for support issues. They will contribute in-depth to the technical activities that develop, support and maintain the DHS services of both LHDs and contribute to them operating at maximum availability.
The incumbent may also from time to time be required to contribute to related projects so that they are delivered on time and in-line with the organisation’s business plan and within the operational and project budget. A primary focus for this role will be supporting large enterprise Network Infrastructure that includes LAN/WAN, Wireless LAN and VoIP.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria
- CCNA and CCNP certifications and/or additional industry-based certifications with experience in DNAC.SDA/Fabric.
- Please detail your experience in implementing and managing Software Defined Access with DNA Center on a Fabric network.
- Demonstrate your experience / expertise in configuring and implementing Cisco switches, routers, wireless LAN controllers (WLC), Cisco ISE, Cisco ASA/Firepower Firewalls, Access Lists, and IPSEC-based VPNs.
- Provide examples of VoIP in a large business environment, with knowledge of PABX peripheral systems such as voice mail and call accounting systems.
