Location: Austria | Reports to: Head of Project Management Office, Data & AI Europe | Visa Requirements: Valid working visa for the Austria | Language Requirements: German and English, written and verbal | Work Arrangement: Hybrid


As a Senior Project Manager at Crayon's Data & AI Centre of Excellence, you will take ownership of managing international business-critical and large-scale projects to implement data & AI-powered solutions. You will quality assure the delivery of projects to our clients in a professional and results-driven manner, to establish long-term and trusted relationships. When joining our team, you will act as the customer-facing lead, and in collaboration with our Solution Architects, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists, ensure that the scope, quality, timeline and budgets are met.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Project management of medium to large-scale Data & AI projects with medium to high complexity
  • Drive projects to completion, within the agreed scope, expected quality and estimated schedule and budget
  • Monitor and report project status, especially project financials, including revenue recognition, revenue forecasting and billing
  • Ensure professional project cooperation and communication across the project teams with stakeholders
  • As a PMO team member, identify, lead, and supervise initiatives in the project management practice, such as processes, methods, and tools improvements, also providing guidance to more junior project managers and ensure collaboration with business operations


Your Competencies:

  • 8+ years of total work experience in IT/Technology sector and 5+ years of working experience in project management of medium to large-scale Software development or application modernization projects, with medium to high complexity
  • Understanding AI and Machine Learning approaches, as well as knowledge and experience in at least one of the following areas: Computer Vision, NLP and AI Platforms
  • Strong understanding of business processes, identifying business needs, and finding solutions to business problems
  • Excellent Stakeholder management skills, showing high level of situational awareness


About You:

  • Self-driven and proactive individual, with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills, comfortable in customer facing scenarios, being able to understand customer demands and different scenarios
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to a wide-ranging set of tasks, from improving an internal report to identifying cross-selling opportunities in interactions with customer executives

Minimum salary for Austria, which is according to our collective bargaining agreement trade, € 2.392,00 gross salary per month. However, we will offer you a competitive compensation package aligned with your skills and experience.
