Senior Software Engineer

At Tata Technologies we make product development dreams a reality by designing, engineering and validating the products of tomorrow for the world’s leading manufacturers. Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer, to strengthen our team in Gothenburg.

Responsibilities

You will be a member of Developer plane consisting of two main pillars, GitHub Enterprise Cloud and Backstage (open-source software). You will be part of a small agile team who owns GitHub Enterprise Cloud. With a few github organsations, you'll be responsible for implementation of policy and configuration, user on and off-boarding inc. supporting our end users. You will also be a driving force in our efforts moving teams from Azure DevOps to GitHub and of course contributing to the overall developer experience.

Knowledge/Experience

You have a strong background in web development and DevOps which includes knowing the principles and best practices, and you are an expert in writing clean, efficient and well documented code.

We seek an experienced, end-user focused engineer with knowledge in TypeScript and React to join our team. You should be well-versed in GitHub’s features, comfortable managing one or more GitHub organisations, comfortable importing projects from other toolchains into GitHub and capable of optimising GitHub’s capabilities to enhance the overall developer experience. You have an architectural mindset with a good understanding of Platform Engineering. As you will be driving our Azure DevOps migration project it is beneficial if you have experience in ADO previously.

You are an excellent communicator, have proficient writing skills and a great ability to work in a team environment. We are an agile team and see that you are familiar with agile development methodologies.

You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, you see yourself as a Senior Fullstack Software engineer and DevOps Engineer with at least 8 years of experience.
