Wat betekent dit voor jou?

This role is in the Digital Tech Marketing & Customer domain within AH Technology. Marketing & Customer exists of more than 100 people divided over diverse teams. The Promotions & Inspiration squad lets our Dutch and Belgian users browse their favorite thing: discounts! They provide both the general Bonus environment and the Bonus Box, which is filled with personalized offers.

This is how you will reinvent food retail.

• Help maintaining and improving the Bonus landscape, making Albert Heijn ready for peak times such as Christmas and Easter, but also the peak day on Sunday
• Manage the complexity of the Promotions landscape and thereby migrating Oracle procedures to micro services
• Build code, implement, and execute unit and automated testing, ensure security, code quality, and contribute to best practices and deployment
• Be a valued team member, that contributes and removes obstacles
• Make sure we provide stability for the millions of customers we have every day on the Bonus page.
  
  
  

As a Backend developer you will join the Promotions & Inspiration squad consisting of 4 other backenders, 2 web frontenders, 4 app mobile developers, 2 QA engineers and 2 product owners. Because the team is that big, we split up the team based on topic. The position that is now open is for the team responsible of implementing the Customer Features. The other team is busy migrating the Oracle procedures to Kotlin micro services. You will work closely within the whole squad and therefore with the 4 other backenders.

The recipe for maximum impact

• 5+ years work experience as a Backend Developer, Java Developer, Kotlin Developer, Backend DevOps Engineer or something similar. 
• Experience with Kotlin or Java 11+ and Services (APIs), CI/CD 
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and Public Cloud 
• Knowledge of Scrum/Kanban (Agile) 
• An appetite to be the expert on content and how this is used and to be the CMS go-to person 
• A getting-things-done mentality 
• You are pro-active in supporting the PO and helping team members 
• You’re tech savvy, pro-active and have a big passion for tech;
