Project Scope

Digital tools, such as smartphones or wearables, enable continuous measurement and collection of vital health data, known as "Digital Biomarkers." These innovations are transforming the development of new treatments and enabling more personalized healthcare. Advances in wearable devices that track vital signs and monitor symptoms have the potential to accelerate clinical research.

The project focuses on developing and maintaining a data analytics platform that supports the processing and analysis of large-scale sensor data from clinical studies. This platform integrates mobile applications, wearable devices, data storage solutions, processing pipelines, and analytics tools. As the use of digital biomarkers expands, the system must efficiently handle large volumes of data and provide researchers with seamless access to analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, update, and maintain a data analytics workspace for processing and analyzing sensor data.
• Develop and support a Python-based toolkit to streamline interactions with the platform.
• Assist researchers in onboarding and utilizing the analytics environment.
• Troubleshoot issues and optimize workflows based on user feedback.
• Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to sprint goals.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
• Create and maintain training materials for users of the platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, data engineers, data scientists, and cloud specialists.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Python for software development (familiarity with poetry, pandas, and DASK is a plus).
• Experience with large-scale cloud-based solutions.
• Ability to work in a team, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies (e.g., SCRUM) and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with machine learning environments and database management is a plus.
• English proficiency at a professional level.
