The Innovation Tribe within IT is the delivery arm for these transformative digital capabilities across business lines and entities. To support our growth and ambitions, we are expanding our team with a backend developer who will thrive in a fast-paced, truly agile environment. This developer will be integral to delivering strategic and innovative initiatives for the group.

Role: Cloud / Backend Software Engineer

Responsibilities

As part of the delivery team, you will design and build high-quality code efficiently and at pace. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing complex API endpoints and business logic
• Integrating with other internal tiers (Front-end, API Gateway, messaging hub, communication hub) and external components
• Ensuring design consistency across various back-end components
• Writing and executing unit tests for implemented components
• Ensuring code compliance with security and coding guidelines
• Conducting code reviews for team-developed components and critical features
• Taking ownership and accountability for delivering product features in an agile approach
• Delivering software components integrated with distributed ledger technology
• Coaching and supporting junior developers
  
  

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a back-end Software Engineer
• Proven track record of designing and delivering high-quality, complex, scalable systems
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Excellent programming skills in .Net Core 8 (C#) and a strong understanding of data modeling and SQL Server
• Proficiency in achieving low-level design and proper documentation
• Understanding of secure coding practices, data structures, and resilient system building
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud (APIM, Azure SQL, secure development best practices) and DevOps
• Experience with front-end development (Angular) is a plus

The Group Digital Capabilities (GDC) division contributes to Euroclear’s competitiveness by delivering reliable and sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets. Our teams deliver new IT solutions and improve existing applications for both our internal and external clients. We deploy changes into the production environment in a controlled and structured way that does not compromise production stability and we ensure applicative production support.
