About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic AI Engineer for our dedicated AI team based in Ankara within a hybrid work routine. Reflecting Enocta’s strong commitment to AI, we are building a solid core of talent around several ambitious projects. The role of AI Engineer will be at the forefront of applying cutting-edge AI technologies to transform how people learn and grow professionally. Make no mistake: This is not your typical engineering role as the ground beneath our feet is still shifting with new developments in the AI space on a weekly basis. Accordingly, a key characteristic of the AI Engineer is being passionate about keeping up with state-of-the-art methods and models.

What You’ll Do

You’ll help us shape the future of digital learning by designing, building, and deploying AI-driven features and products. We don’t intend to stop at simply making Enocta’s services enhanced with AI, and therefore we need you to fuel our endeavors to invent new ways of empowering our users to be the best versions of themselves. This mission translates into:

• Designing and implementing applications powered by the latest AI Technologies
• Crafting pipelines for information retrieval, media generation, and reasoning
• Devising our own methods and frameworks to evaluate our AI capabilities
• Tuning and optimizing open source models
• Working closely with a proficient software team to ensure the seamless delivery of AI capabilities

Skills We’re Looking For

We know that nobody is a master of everything. Our AI tech stack is wide-ranging and we are open to embracing different combinations of skills from what is listed here. We need someone who can make an impact on day one, and possessing the one-third –preferably half– of these would do that. Here we have six categories of specialties:

1.      Working with Large Language Models with proficiency: Prompt Tuning, Utilizing SDKs, Optimizing Latency and Cost, Working With Open Source LLMs, Working with Multimodality

2.      Crafting and Refining RAG Systems: Implementing RAG, Applying Advanced Techniques, A Firm Understanding of Embeddings, Working with Vector DBs, Performance Evaluation

3.      Crafting and Refining Agent Systems: Implementing Agents, Devising Multi-Agent Scenarios, Optimizing Latency and Cost, Custom Tooling, Performance Evaluation

4      Working with Media: Utilizing APIs for Media Generation, Transcription and Speech Synthesis, Prompt Tuning, Working with Open Source Models, Running Workflows

5.      Machine Learning Fundamentals: Solid Understanding of Deep Learning, Transformers and Diffusion Models, Training and Tuning BERT Variants, Applying Fine-Tuning via LoRA/QLoRA or DPO, Running and Configuring Local Inference Scenarios

6.      Web Development Essentials: Using Rapid Prototyping Tools, Designing and Deploying API Endpoints, Working with Docker, Deploying to Major Cloud Services (Azure, AWS, GCP etc), Executing CRUD Operations on a Database

A good command of the English language is essential in our competitive and inherently global AI space. Also, a BSc or higher degree in fields like computer science/engineering, AI engineering or related fields would be a plus.
