Back End Developer

Astra Tech is a UAE-based technology investment and development group, embarked on a mission to build the world’s first ultra platform & ecosystem, that will disrupt the consumer technology space by rethinking the boundaries of a digital ecosystem.

It will be the first of its kind in the MEA region to simplify the way people & businesses interact, engage, and transact with each other. The platform will provide seamless connectivity between consumers and businesses, enabling users to effortlessly access home, e-commerce, and fintech services in one place. Key Responsibilities

• Backend System Development: Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of the backend systems, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to build high-quality backend solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Code Quality: Maintain high standards for code quality and performance, actively participating in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify and resolve technical challenges in the backend system, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
• Continuous Learning: Keep up to date with emerging backend technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to drive improvements and innovation in backend development.

Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in backend development, preferably in high-concurrency or messaging systems.
• Solid understanding of backend system architecture, with experience in microservices, APIs, and database design, familiar with distributed systems and messaging protocols.
• Proficiency in Java object-oriented programming languages and functional programming languages like Rust.
• Strong foundation in computer science principles, including algorithms, data structures, and system design.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Passionate about delivering high-quality, efficient backend solutions and improving system performance, actively explore and adopt emerging technologies, such as AI to enhance productivity and drive innovation in backend development.
• Strong English communication skills for seamless collaboration with teams.
