Purpose

The Network Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure to support current and future business needs. This role involves collaborating with IT teams to optimize network performance, ensuring security, and providing technical support to end-users.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Architect, implement, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cost-effective network solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Proactively monitor network performance, implement troubleshooting procedures, and ensure optimal uptime and data flow.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and procedures.
  • Implement and enforce robust security protocols to protect network infrastructure and sensitive data.
  • Provide technical support to end-users for network-related issues.
  • Optimize network performance through regular assessments and upgrades.
  • Conduct network testing, research, and problem resolution.
  • Design and implement wireless network solutions (Wi-Fi) for optimal coverage and performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in network engineering or administration.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, technologies, and security standards.
  • Proficiency in network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
  • Experience with network automation and scripting.
  • Understanding of WAN technologies such as OSPF and BGP.
  • Preferred certifications: Cisco (CCNA, CCNP), ISSA (Network+, PenTest+).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a large enterprise LAN/WAN environment.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with network vulnerability assessments and risk management.
