The Role

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our Financial Lines division in London. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the entire development process, from gathering requirements to delivering high-quality software solutions. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, collaborating with business stakeholders to develop and maintain applications hosted in Azure. This is a great opportunity to develop a diverse skill set, engage with senior management and clients, and contribute to the growth of our technology offering.

What You'll Be Doing

• Engage with business teams to gather and define requirements for new features and enhancements
• Design, develop, and maintain web applications hosted in Azure
• Own the full development lifecycle, from requirement analysis to deployment
• Perform regular maintenance and updates (approximately 10% of the role)
• Ensure high code quality, scalability, and performance of applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions
• Utilize Python when required for specific tasks (nice to have)
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends
• Work flexibly in a hybrid environment
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our development processes

Who We're Looking For

• Strong experience with cloud application hosting (Azure)
• Proficient in full stack development, including front-end and back-end (SQL Server)
• Experience with Python is a plus
• Experience with Docker
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with business stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Previous experience in the insurance industry is desirable but not essential
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in Full Stack Development
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based hosting solutions (Azure)
• Experience with SQL Server and related database management
• Knowledge of Python and Docker is beneficial
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment
