About the company

After raising over $50m in seed funding from 3 of the largest VC funds in the world, this finTech is now scaling up their team to add a host of new features to the platform, as well as deploying their platform to new international markets. This company are building out service for intercontinental money transfers, coupled with market leading investment options, and has enabled over $500m of transfers to date.

About the role

As an early stage hire within the Engineering department (currently 7 people), you will play a key role in building out new features, iterating on them, whilst also contributing to architectural decision making and system design.

You'll work closely with the founding team to bring the product vision to life, shipping code frequently and learning as you go while satisfying all critical security, performance, and uptime requirements for clients and users

• Develop & Optimize – Design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable iOS applications.
• Own the Codebase – Write clean, maintainable, and modular Swift & SwiftUI code.
• Enhance User Experience – Work closely with product & design teams to create seamless and delightful UX.
• Scale & Maintain – Build reusable components and optimize application performance.
• Integrate APIs – Work with backend engineers to consume APIs, ensuring smooth data flow.
• Improve Performance – Identify and fix bottlenecks, memory leaks, and crashes.
• Stay Ahead of Trends – Keep up with new iOS technologies, best practices, and industry standards.

About you

• 3+ years in experience in iOS Engineering, with experience in FinTech or at a scale-up being advantageous
• Strong commercial experience with Swift (there is no Objective-C in the codebase)
• Strong understanding of modern iOS frameworks, UIKit, CoreData, and animations.
• Experience with MVVM, MVP, or other scalable architectures.
• Strong API Integration Skills – Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and network communication.
• Experience optimizing app performance, managing memory, and implementing security best practices.
• Understanding of automated testing, deployment pipelines, and mobile app debugging.
