Full-stack Developer - PHP/Laravel

The Full-stack Developer is a key role at Antero where we build SaaS products and support bespoke software for our clients. In this role you will sit within a technology team located here in Brisbane at our Fortitude Valley office which is supported by a team of skilled Delivery Managers and Product Owners as well as a second development team in Europe.

The ability to understand and solve complex problems with code + infrastructure while working on a high quality and beautifully designed product is the key to success in this role.

Position Description

You will be expected to apply your range of talents wherever necessary across the following areas:

• Have experience in PHP web application development using the Laravel framework
• Have experience with Javascript (preferably Typescript) and React (Node would be of benefit, but is not necessary)
• A high level of comfort with single page applications, APIs and integrations
• Participating in the Agile delivery model - including but not limited to working with JIRA tasks, quality assurance of code and seeking clarification where necessary
• We build all our apps on AWS so some experience with AWS services and Docker would be great
• A love of working with cutting edge web technology and making clients / stakeholders happy in the process
• Taking accountability for QA of your own work through dev, UAT and prod environments
• Remain two steps ahead at all times when it comes to anticipating product owner requirements that you’ve been exposed to in meetings
• Being on hand to assist any other areas of the business as might be required

Antero is a SaaS product and bespoke software provider which is part of the Flip Group, including weareflip our digital agency partner. 

Antero develops its own SaaS products specific to FinTech and financial markets in addition to providing software consultation and bespoke software development for our clients.

Our flagship product Incept is used by several Asset Finance companies within Australia providing a FinTech platform in a box to accelerate loan origination, credit decisioning, settlements, doc gen, etc.

Capability in this role will be measured via the below activities:

• a demonstration of involvement in software delivery from development to release
• We will ask to see some of your work to review and provide evaluation
• There will be a tech test to test your front-end and/or back-end skills as a developer
