We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Front-End Developer with a strong background in web development. The successful candidate will lead our front-end development team, drive innovation, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, user-centric applications. You will work closely with our back-end developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to create seamless and responsive web applications.

About the Team

Working hard together with a lot of fun—that's what we do. Our IT department consists of around 35 highly motivated colleagues collaborating in multiple smaller teams. A good atmosphere and camaraderie are very important within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and Mentor: Guide a team of front-end developers to achieve project goals.
• Develop and Maintain: Design robust, scalable front-end applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front-end technologies.
• Collaborate: Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
• Technical Feasibility: Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Compatibility: Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
• User Interfaces: Build user-friendly and intuitive interfaces.
• Optimize: Enhance applications for security, efficiency, and scalability.
• Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews and enforce adherence to best practices.
• Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain cutting-edge.
• Troubleshoot: Resolve front-end issues and bugs promptly.
• Documentation: Document front-end solutions and provide guidelines for their usage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Lead Front-End Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in web technologies with a good understanding of their ecosystems.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.
• Extensive experience with modern front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular).
• Proficient in Node.js and its ecosystem.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration with back-end services.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with Docker and Docker Compose.
• Experience with code linters (e.g., JSLint, ESLint).
• Experience with code quality tools (e.g., JSHint, JSCS, SonarQube).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes is a plus.
• Good understanding of web servers, security, and their configurations.
• Familiarity with build tools and task runners.
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
