Exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic & growing team on the delivery of new build residential social housing projects $10m to $100m as well as education new build and refurb from smaller up to $50m+
Known as one of the leading firms in the delivery of social infrastructure projects, our client is looking for a Assistant Project Manager to join their forward thinking, professional and dynamic project management consultancy in Sydney.
A high degree of client and stakeholder liaison will be involved, from feasibility stage to delivery stage of the project. Leadership, communication and people management skillset will be paramount along with a strong base of technical knowledge.
Project experience specifically related to residential or some form of accommodation etc. would be beneficial however their work varies across Education, Health, Housing, Government, etc. as well.
Candidates can come from client-side consultancy, main contractor, quantity surveying, planning, architecture practice or consulting engineering firms.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Client management and consultation
- Project Planning/Feasibility studies
- Risk Management
- Value Engineering
- Design Management
- Procurement of construction services
- Delivery of constructions services
- Cost control and cost reporting and superintendent
- Commissioning and post contract duties for handover
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or similar
- Experience on residential/accommodation building projects
- Ideally experience of end to end project management on building projects
- Experience in Business Development or a strong network would be an advantage
- Leadership skills
- Strategic thinker who is able to see the bigger picture
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous client side project management experience
