Position Overview:
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls that protect our cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our security practices align with industry standards, compliance requirements, and emerging threats.
Responsibilities:
- Security Architecture & Implementation – Design and implement security controls for cloud environments, applications, and infrastructure.
- Threat Detection & Incident Response – Develop, deploy, and monitor security detection systems, respond to threats, and conduct forensic investigations.
- Compliance & Risk Management – Ensure security frameworks align with industry regulations such as HIPAA, HITRUST, and PCI DSS. Conduct risk assessments and audits.
- Secure DevOps (DevSecOps) – Integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC), automate security testing, and ensure CI/CD pipeline security.
- Identity & Access Management (IAM) – Maintain and enforce least-privilege access policies, manage user authentication mechanisms, and oversee role-based access controls.
- Vulnerability Management – Perform regular vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and patch management to mitigate risks.
- Security Tooling & Automation – Evaluate, implement, and optimize security tools for monitoring, detection, and incident response.
Requirements:
- Proven Experience – 3+ years in cybersecurity engineering, cloud security, or related fields.
- Security Frameworks & Compliance – Strong knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST, PCI DSS, and other compliance standards.
- Cloud Security Expertise – Hands-on experience securing AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
- Incident Response & Forensics – Experience with SIEM solutions, EDR/XDR platforms, and security event analysis.
- DevSecOps & Secure Coding – Familiarity with application security, CI/CD pipeline security, and secure coding practices.
- Security Certifications – CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or equivalent is preferred.
- Scripting & Automation – Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for security automation.
- Networking & System Security – Strong understanding of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions.
