Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job Description

At Amaris Consulting Belgium, we are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional service to our clients. We are currently seeking a talented Embedded Software Engineer - C/C++ to join our dynamic team in Belgium. In this role, you will belong to a small team designing solutions for internal users using advanced technologies. As a consultant with us, you will develop modern applications and system solutions for our clients, primarily focusing on embedded software development.

🔥 Your Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize embedded software for various applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Conduct software simulations and testing to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate closely with a committed and collaborative team of professionals, including hardware engineers and product managers, to implement software solutions that meet project requirements.
• Lead debugging and troubleshooting initiatives to address software-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Monitor software performance metrics and analyze data to track progress and identify trends for continuous improvement.
• Prepare and present technical reports on software performance, improvements, and compliance status to management.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure innovative solutions are applied.
  
  
  

🎯 Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in embedded software development or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of embedded programming languages (C/C++) and real-time operating systems.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory; fluency in Dutch or French is appreciated.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience in backend development with a strong enthusiasm for software engineering.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• A creative thinker with a focus on finding effective solutions.
